Mrs Hussein was invited as a guest on the ThandoChannel,  a video-on-demand platform and community hub dedicated to African women living on the continent and in the diaspora. She took part in an in-depth discussion on The Promised Land. Mrs. Jaqueline Hussein served as a member of the Simbisa Brands Board for four and a half years. She joined the Board in January 2021. She served as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee. Her tenure was a historic milestone for the company, as she was the first female director to serve in this capacity, setting a precedent for diversity at the highest level. Through her role, she has championed inclusion, strategic decision-making, and the advancement of women in leadership positions across the business landscape.

"Integrity and Philanthropy"

As the first woman in Zimbabwe to establish and operate a

registered accounting practice, she attended the cocktail with the theme ,"Integrity and Philanthropy", to engage with other industry leaders and fellow Chartered Accountants.  Her presence at the cocktail often involves encouraging female participation in the institute's activities and CSR initiatives. She was part of the community of professionals celebrated for their contributions to the Vimbiso Scholarship Trust, helping to raise the funds that were ultimately used for educational support and infrastructure for underprivileged schools.

"EAGLE'S NEST YOUTH EXPORT INCUBATOR"

Mrs. Hussein previously shared her wisdom and guidance as a judge for the ZimTrade’s Project,  Eagle’s Nest. Through this YouTube series, she helped empower the next generation of entrepreneurs within the youth export incubator. 


In her role as a judge, Mrs. Hussein did more than just evaluate business models; she became a source of inspiration for many budding entrepreneurs. Her insightful feedback and genuine belief in the potential of Zimbabwean youth helped turn raw ideas into export-ready realities, leaving a lasting mark on the Eagles’ Nest community.
